The Strip. A graphic portrait of Sunset Boulevard/Fall, 1966
SIGNED first edition small quarto in stiff wrappers with 48 pp b/w reproductions throughout
9 1/8h x 9 1/4w in
This is Gibson’s first monograph. Considered quite scarce, it is even more so being a SIGNED copy. The documentary-like photos shot along the west end of Sunset Blvd- the strip, capture the many personalities of this once burgeoning center for the emergent counter-culture. These photos were shot a number of years prior to Gibson's notorious surrealist style of photography.
Design by Roger Kennedy.
This is a vg copy with some discoloration and slight cracking along outside spine.
