Les Krims is an American conceptual photographer who in the 1960s and 1970s was known for his photographs of nude women posed in silly and, what many considered, humiliating situations. This wacky, surreal sensibility opened up the possibilities of photography to artists like his student Cindy Sherman. Krims calls his carefully arranged fabricated photographs “fictions,” and in describing them he states, "It is possible to create any picture one imagines.”
